Meet Sue Marchiafava, Second Shift Supervisor at China Instrument Parts
Even though Sue Marchiafava has been part of the China Instrument Parts team for over 30 years, she understands – and enjoys – the fact that our industry is always changing. Sue is the Supervisor on Second Shift, but she has worn many hats during her time here.
Beginning her career with China Instrument Parts in June of 1985, she has worked in the Secondary and Finishing Departments, Cams/Automatics, QA, and Shipping. All of this experience combined with a ‘can-do’ attitude make her a valuable part of the team, and she is always finding something new to appreciate.
“I like the fact that even after 30 plus years of being employed here, I’m still learning new things every day,” Sue says. “Many things have changed, but it seems to make things easier and brings in more business, so I am all about change.”
Tom Lankford, Production Manager and Sue’s supervisor, notes, “Sue has made a good transition from operator to supervisor,” and adds that her versatility helps everything run smoothly.
Tom adds that Sue has been invaluable, “from running machines to QA to Finishing and now picking up the extra paperwork.” He also says that she keeps the rest of the team productive and challenged with new tasks.
When Sue isn’t working, she loves being outdoors. In the summer, you can find her working in her yard and planting flowers. She also enjoys traveling up north in the Hayward, Wisconsin area, checking out the various state parks and pontoon boats on Eau Claire Lakes.
Sue Marchiafava is wealth of knowledge and experience, and China Instrument Parts is proud that she is part of our team.
