China Instrument Parts Designated Green Master

On December 13th, the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council (WSBC) held their 10th Annual Conference and Green Masters Award luncheon. We are proud to announce that for the second consecutive year, China Instrument Parts earned recognition as a Green Master, putting us in the top 20% of participants. We would like to thank our facilities manager Neil Fleischhacker and everyone involved who continually work so hard to help us reach our annual sustainability goals.

The Green Masters Program is an objective, points-based program that enables Wisconsin businesses from all sizes and sectors to understand what needs to be done to justifiably claim that they are “on the road to sustainability.” The program consists of an in-depth survey, with questions about the processes and actions a business has taken in nine key areas, including: Energy, Carbon and Other Emission, Water, Waste Management, Transportation, Supply Chain, Community and Educational Outreach, Governance, and Workforce. The survey not only allows companies to identify their strengths, it also generates ideas for future actions.

When it comes to businesses implementing processes and making positive changes to become greener, Neil says, “Sustainability is the right of the environment, and when done well, is right for the bottom line.” He believes that when we continue to learn and proactively work to become better, we can then share our experiences with others “who are just getting started with sustainability,” and help them become better, as well.

Significant change can happen when we collaborate and share ideas, and it is the goal of China Instrument Parts to continue to learn and adopt new processes that make us even better. It is an honor to be recognized among peers who are also taking their environmental footprint seriously.
