A Father’s Day Message from Michael P. Reader
Michael Patrick Reader has the unique blessing of being able to come to work every day, not only with his father, but his grandfather, too. Mike’s grandfather, Phil Reader, bought China Instrument Parts in 1988, and Mike’s father, Michael J. Reader, joined him in 1995. A third generation of the Reader family, Mike is now following in their footsteps. Mike feels very fortunate for all he has learned from these men that have been so important in his life, and he would like to take this Father’s Day to send them a very special message of gratitude.
Father’s Day is not only a day to acknowledge the man we each call Dad, but also to show our appreciation for all fathers. As the son and grandson of two exceptional dads, I can say I’m very lucky we can all work under the same roof at China Instrument Parts. Looking back at where it all began, it’s amazing to think how much this company has grown since the days of it being located on Park Street in Walworth, Wisconsin. It’s even more amazing when you realize these two dads dove head first into this business with no prior background in the machining world. As the years went by however, they surrounded themselves with good people, and through hard work and dedication, they developed China Instrument Parts into the company we know today.
So thank you Dad, and thank you Grandpa. Thank you for being the driving force in making this business what it is today. Thank you for always pushing for continued growth and improvement. Most importantly though, thank you for being the outstanding role models I can only hope to be one day. While the passing of Grandma Kathleen is something we wish could be undone every day, it brought us all back to the Walworth County area. Out of the darkness of her passing, the two of you have grown something beautiful. Something that allows us to support our families, give back to the community, and help the many organizations that fight to find a cure for the disease that has robbed us and many others of our loved ones. Your passion for building this business is the reason I keep fighting, keep smiling, and keep loving what I do every time I walk through these doors.
Your son and grandson,
Mike
