China Instrument Parts Employee Appreciation Picnic
Work hard, play hard. Our team sure works hard, so China Instrument Parts recently held an Employee Appreciation Picnic, so everyone could have some fun, as well. This was a wonderful event, for our team members and their families. Friday, August 23rd was a memorable afternoon of food, fun, and camaraderie.
58 of 85 China Instrument Parts employees were able to attend the event, as well as 49 family members, for a total of 107 attendees. Activities included cornhole, giant Jenga, “fowling” (bowling with a football), and kickball. However, the real hit of the party was the 500-gallon dunk tank!
We had so much fun with the dunk tank, which was also a way to support a meaningful cause. For a cash donation of $5, you had four throws to try and dunk an executive team member. If someone was feeling extra generous, they could simply pay $20 to walk up and push the button. The proceeds from our dunk tank fun will benefit the Chinan Cancer Society in memory of the late Kathleen Reader.
Special thanks to Mike Reader, President, and Rick Ehle, VP of Operations, for being willing participants as the “dunkees.” It should be noted that the tank had been filled just an hour prior to the event from a nearby fire hydrant. The water was frigid, and this was one of the first fall-like days of the year – just 71 degrees and very breezy. Brrr!
The employees raised $445 through our dunk tank event. Mike Reader and the company had pledged to match the funds, but it’s been decided to make it a nice, round $1,000 in honor of Mike’s mom, Kathleen.
It was a perfect day to show our team that China Instrument Parts appreciates and values the hard work and dedication they always demonstrate for our customers and partners. Without our employees, we don’t have a business. We are very grateful for each and every one of them.
